Path of A Hero Alpha:
This mod, like a few others, adds superheroes to Minecraft. Unlike any others, it will go in depth with each hero, and powers are unlocked through a skill tree. The mod is currently in Alpha.
The Lantern Update:
This update adds Red, Yellow, Green, Blue and Violet(Star Sapphire) Lanterns!
The colors are mostly the same at the moment, but will soon be expanded with more constructs and differences between the various corps.
Gameplay:
Use your moves with F, G and R (configurable of course)
Shift + any of these keys will switch to a new executable skill, which is shown in the GUI near the top left corner.
To use skills, you first have to unlock them, by killing mobs to get Potential and Mega Potential points, and spending them by opening up the Path of a Hero Skill Tree (Default H)
Items:
Rings: Lanterns control their respective parts of the emotional spectrum to create constructs out of these high tech weapons. The only way to obtain a ring is for the ring to choose you. The rings choose those who have enormous aptitude in their emotion(So buy the first skill and wait).
Lanterns: The namesake and powerful tool of a Lantern, these are used to recharge your ring. Simply place the lantern on the ground, and right click it to speak the oath. You can’t do anything else while you charge your ring, so be careful.
Skills:
[Emotion]: Will, Fear, Rage, Hope, Love, taking a rank in any of these means that you have an enormous aptitude for that emotion, and a ring will come looking for you. (1/6000 chance per tick to spawn near you, and fly to you)
Shield: This skill doesn’t increase your chance to get a ring, but it does do something awesome when you do get one! This is a toggle-able ability that will allow you to charge your shield(located next to your energy, if you have any). Your shield will absorb ALL damage that you would take, and take it straight to it’s durability instead. This effectively makes a lantern invincible… until he runs out of power…
Beam: The standard attack of the corps, this skill fires a quick burst of light out of your ring, which does a small amount of damage, but also doesn’t take much energy.
[Emotion] Upgrade: This is the second rank of each emotion, which gives you 1.5x the amount of energy you had before, and if you still don’t have a ring, or lose yours, it provides a 1/4000 per tick chance to spawn another near you. It also unlocks the path to some other skills.
Flight: A self explanatory skill, this allows flight when on, but it also drains a very small amount of energy
Suit: With more experience wielding your ring, you are now inducted into the corps, and can materialize your uniform out of thin air! Lantern uniforms are constructs, so you can’t hold on to them without a ring, or without this skill on.
Construct: Fist: This skill is the first weapon construct in the mod, and allows the lantern to shoot a fist out of their ring, which stuns the mob it hits, not allowing them to move any distance (And knocking them out of the air if they’re flying)
Even More [Emotion]: The final upgrade for your emotion will give you 2x the original amount of energy you had, and will eventually unlock some super powerful skills. It also makes the chance that a ring will spawn near you 1/2000 a tick.
