Turtle Mod

Require Minecraft Forge for 1.6.4

As the name suggests this mod adds in turtles as mobs into minecraft. It also allows you to craft armor from the shells they drop.

Hello everyone. I thought I would ask what you all want to see in this mod. What new features/improvements do you want the most? I’ll leave you to post your ideas. After a good amount of ideas are posted ill put a poll up with your ideas to rank which features are a higher priority for me to implement.

FEATURES
-3 turtle variations, basic turtle, demon turtle, and ender turtle

-normal turtles spawn in beach biomes, ocean biomes, river biomes, and swamp biomes, on sand blocks, but never under water

-Demon turtles spawn in the hell biome

-Ender turtles spawn everywhere, especially the end
-turtle breeding with apples
-SMP support
-turtle shells
-tame normal turtles with a golden apple
-tamed turtles can be healed by feeding them carrots
-normal shell armor

almost as enchantable as leather
same protection as iron armor but lasts longer

-demon shell armor

almost as enchantable as leather
More protective than diamond but only lasts a little longer than leather
grants immunity to fire when wearing a full set

-Ender shell armor

almost as enchantable as leather
Slightly less protective than green shell armor and lasts longer than iron but not as long as diamond
If you take any damage while wearing a full set you’ll be teleported to a random location nearby. Perfect for escaping fights, and avoiding drowning, suffocating, or lava.

Crafting

PLANS
-Turtle boss
-maybe adjust turtle spawn rates
-adjust turtle movements
-baby turtle model
-make harder to obtain turtle food so you can’t farm turtles for armor as easily.
-Whatever I feel like adding

Note: I have too many plans to be able to implement them all right away. I’d like you to post your opinions on which idea you want to see first so I can rank my priorities. if what you want isn’t on the list above then feel free to share your idea, and I’ll add it to the list.

Installation

install minecraft forge
run minecraft with forge installed at least once
put the turtle mod .zip file in the mods folder in your .minecraft folder

KNOWN BUGS
-Baby turtles have a second head that is hidden by the block they’re standing on but can be seen when the turtle jumps
